Leeds United, one of five clubs interested in ‘very fast’ Bundesliga winger, could cost £7m

Leeds United have been listed as one of five clubs interested in landing the Bundesliga winger for a bargain fee of between £6.8m and £8.5m in the coming months.

The 49ers are set for a busy summer in which they are expected to sell a number of players to bring in much-needed cash amid reports the 49ers have inherited a £190m credit card bill sterling.

Crysencio Summerville has interest from Liverpool, Chelsea, Fulham, Bournemouth and West Ham. Palace could bring him in to replace Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze, who are valued at £60m in fees.

Newcastle are also interested in discussing him internally, with Willy Gnonto keen on a return to Serie A. It means Leeds will need a winger this summer and are in the running for a ‘very quick’ star from Stuttgart.

Indeed, German newspaper BILD say Leeds are one of five clubs interested in 25-year-old DR Congo star Silas. He is believed to have been discussed in Leeds’ plans, but the Whites face stiff competition for him.

Leeds one of five clubs interested in winger Silas from Stuttgart

The report says French side Lens are interested, while Auxerre are also keen to lure him to France. Fulham are willing to take a chance on Premier League winger Silas, as are La Liga side Villarreal.

The report also states that German side Stuttgart are looking for a fee of between £6.8m and £8.5m to land the African ace who helped DR Congo reach the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.

With Leeds in the Championship, you’d imagine the Yorkshire side would struggle to convince Silas to join The Whites. Especially with the Premier League, Ligue 1 and La Liga interested.

Silas’ statistics in the 2023-24 campaign with Stuttgart are impressive

Silas started just nine of 30 appearances in all competitions last season for Stuttgart, coming on as a substitute in a further 21 appearances. But even then, Silas still managed to have a hand in 13 goals throughout 2023-24.

While his stats may not initially jump off the page, the fact that he has those numbers in cameo roles for Stuttgart is worthy of praise. Silas has huge potential to be a bargain at under £9m for the keen.
