Police manhunt after motorcyclist was pushed and seriously injured in Huddersfield

Police investigating an attempted robbery in Huddersfield have released images of people they are trying to identify.

The police call relates to an incident where a motorcyclist was pushed from his car in Lockwood Road, Lockwood. He suffered serious injuries when he hit a wall.




The male victim was riding his motorcycle on Lockwood Road between 6.15am and 6.20am on April 6 when he swerved to avoid a group of four people, believed to be men, who were walking on the road. Two of the group reportedly pushed and hit the victim, causing her to crash her motorcycle into a nearby garden wall.

As the victim lay injured on the floor pleading for help, the group approached him and tried to take his motorcycle but left the scene when they realized the motorcycle was damaged.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered serious injuries and required hospital treatment.

As part of ongoing inquiries, images of a group of four people and closer images of two people who police are trying to identify have been released.

Detectives from Kirklees District Crime Squad are keen to speak to anyone who recognizes the people pictured or who has any other information which could assist ongoing inquiries into this incident.
