Pedophile jailed for outrageous crimes against two girls

A pedophile who committed a series of sexual offenses against two young girls has been jailed. Mark Thomson exposed his genitals to a girl and pushed her head towards his legs.

The 46-year-old man orally raped another girl, who was under 13 years old. Thomson, of Tyrell Grove, Hyde, was jailed at Manchester Crown Court today (Thursday) after being found guilty of oral rape; attempted rape; and more sexual assaults against the two girls.

Detective Sergeant Jemma Ford of Greater Manchester South Manchester Police CID said: “I would like to thank both victims for their incredible bravery in coming forward in the first instance and then reliving these horrific incidents throughout the investigation.

“Many detectives and officers at South Manchester Crime Investigation Department have dedicated their efforts to ensure that the victims receive justice. I hope this sentencing will go some way towards that.

“GMP will do everything possible to thoroughly investigate all reports of this type of crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.”
