Erling Haaland overtakes Harry Kane for career hat-tricks as Manchester City star hits 22nd hat-trick in Norway’s dominant win over Kosovo

Erling Haaland has overtaken Harry Kane for the most career hat-tricks for club and country.

The Manchester City star hit his 22nd career hat-trick, scoring all of Norway’s goals in a 3-0 friendly win over Kosovo.

Haaland has now overtaken Kane, who has 21 career hat-tricks, while also having more than Kylian Mbappe and Sergio Aguero, as reported by Squawka.

Nine of Haaland’s hat-tricks have come for City, his most recent being a four-goal haul against Wolves last month.

Against Kosovo, the prolific Haaland found the net in the 15th, 70th and 75th minutes.

In total, Haaland has now scored 30 goals in 32 games for Norway.

Meanwhile, for City he found the net 90 times in 98 games.

Haaland also boasts other hat-trick records – he was the fastest player to score two, three, four and five hat-tricks in the Premier League.

Haaland will have another opportunity to add to his tally for Norway on Saturday when his country face Denmark away in another friendly.

Despite his status as one of the outstanding strikers in world football, Haaland will not be at Euro 2024 after Norway failed to qualify for the tournament.
