Absen LED illuminates Birmingham bullring with immersive digital signage

Digital display technology has improved significantly in recent years, with higher resolutions and brighter colors, making it more visually appealing and engaging. With increased interactivity and features such as touch screens, gesture recognition and facial recognition, digital signage is set to become even more popular in the future.

The limited space gives brands a platform to create and distribute aspirational and engaging content to their audience. The company therefore knew the importance of ensuring that its key digital spaces, such as the Bullring site, incorporated the latest technology capable of providing visual brilliance to maintain appeal to advertisers. The A2719 offers high brightness, contrast and color accuracy to deliver stunning images, as well as seamless integration capability that provides an ideal platform for brands to tell stories and connect with customers in an engaging way.

Superior image quality and vibrant colors enable organizations to create engaging content that grabs attention, drives results and promotes memorable brand experiences.

“Our commitment is to provide media owners with the latest display technology to present their brands in the best possible light,” explains David Neale,

Managing Partner at EcoVista. “Absen’s A2719 provided the perfect solution, combining exceptional visual detail with ease of installation, making it a clear winner for this project.”

EcoVista’s expertise went beyond simply installing new screens. They designed and built a custom enclosure, ensuring seamless integration with the existing infrastructure, while turning the LED into an interactive experience that further enhances the impact of the displayed content. This demonstrates EcoVista’s commitment to providing customers with not just technology, but a complete turnkey solution that enhances the customer experience.

“The tight project deadline required smooth and efficient execution,” adds David, stressing the importance of effective project management. “The adaptability of the Absen A2719 was essential in meeting these constraints. It allowed us to make a smooth transition to the new screens, minimizing downtime and ensuring a seamless experience for shoppers.”

In total, EcoVista replaced two existing LCD sites in Kent’s Bullring and Bluewater Shopping Center with 165-inch Absen LED screens. The A2719 provides the ideal viewing experience for front-end advertising in a retail environment, with a high refresh rate and contrast ratio to support its ability to produce excellent image and video quality, ensuring results faithful to the content.

“EcoVista’s goal is to provide sustainable solutions.” continued David. “In this case, we used durable materials to cover the LED displays.

In addition, at Bluewater we replaced a nine-panel LCD matrix with the Absen 2719 LED display. Because LED technology is more energy efficient than LCD technology, Limited Space will use less energy at Bluewater, which will reduce operational costs and it will reduce carbon.”

“It’s great to be involved in a project like this with EcoVista, supporting them to implement a more advanced and engaging form of digital signage. Combining innovative technology, strategic planning and effective execution, EcoVista has enabled its clients to continue to deliver impactful advertising experiences while remaining at the forefront of the competitive retail landscape,” explains James Cook, European Industry Development Director, OOH & Sports for Absen.

The successful collaboration between EcoVista and Absen has resulted in a significant upgrade of Limited Space’s digital advertising offering. Absen’s high-resolution LED screens provide brands with a powerful platform to engage customers, tell their stories in an engaging way and stay ahead of the competition. The project serves as a testament to the combined power of innovative technology, strategic planning and effective execution, ultimately creating a win-win situation for both brands and buyers.

“At Absen we continue to develop our presence on the retail market. Our products are adaptable to any given situation, with the overall goal always being to give the end customer exactly what they need. Working with EcoVista is always a pleasant process and their professional service matches the standards that Absen always strives to provide to the customer.” James concluded.
