Hollyoaks News! Blue’s Duncan James joined the cast

Here’s some exciting news for Hollyoaks fans. Former Blue star Duncan James decided to trade music for television and landed a TV role.

He is set to play a character named Ryan who moves to the village with his family.

Duncan said of the casting: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the Hollyoaks team!”

“I look forward to working with the fantastic on and off screen talent on the show and bringing the character of Ryan to life.”

A spokesperson for the show added: “Ryan is a good guy in a committed relationship who will be moving to the village.

“He is a grounded family man with principles and integrity, but who will fight tooth and nail for what he believes in.”

Duncan is no stranger to acting, having starred in West End productions of Chicago and Legally Blonde.

He formed Blue in 2000 with bandmates Lee Ryan, Anthony Costa and Simon Webbe.

The band represented Great Britain at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011. They released five studio albums between 2001 and 2015.

In 2014, the boys had their own TV show called Blue Go Mad in Ibiza, which saw them running a bar on the party island.

Unknown to the band, the show was a farce and all the parents and bar staff were actors.
