UK beach with ‘amazing’ crystal clear water and stunning mountain views

The UK might not be the first destination that comes to mind when you think of idyllic sandy beaches.

The thought of slipping into a bathing suit for a swim in places like Skegness seems less tempting, which is why countless Brits are heading to the sunnier shores of Spain and Greece for pristine beaches and crystal clear waters.

However, there’s a gem of a beach right here in the UK that’s been hailed as ‘breathtaking’ by locals – and it’s not just because it’s free of any unpleasant odours. The British are eager to explore this place for themselves.

Travel and hiking enthusiast Aiimee Beaufort, aka Mays Map, wowed her followers with a video tour of Newborough Beach (Llanddwyn Beach) in Anglesey, Wales. Her shoot begins with the enchanting woodland path leading to a vast stretch of golden sand, set against the dramatic backdrop of Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula.

Despite the cold waters, the beach is a hotspot for water sports such as paddleboarding and remains untouched by industrial giants. “This beach is where the clear blue sea meets a picturesque forest, incredible mountains and wild horses roam Lovers Island (Ynys Llanddwyn),” enthused Aiimee.

“Ynys Llanddwyn is where legend says the well is home to sacred eels that can foretell whether couples will stay together and be successful in love. When I visited her, I couldn’t believe she was in the UK. It quickly became one of my favorite places. and one of the most special to me.”

The travel enthusiast hailed the beach as a ‘bucket list summer destination’, with its charm clearly resonating with many. “I’m so lucky to live down the road from here – it’s the most amazing place,” said one local resident.

Another person remarked, “Summer sunsets are pretty amazing there.”
