Woman found stabbed to death in South Pasadena home – NBC Los Angeles

A woman was found dead in a stabbing at a South Pasadena home Tuesday night.

The stabbing was reported at 8:45 p.m. in the 800 block of Brent Avenue.

The victim, a 70-year-old woman, was found with stab wounds to her upper body. She was found by her grandchildren.

Neighbors in the area were shocked to hear about the brutal death.

“Just shocking. We don’t have a lot of crime in South Pasadena,” said Mary, a neighbor in the area. “It’s kind of scary and I’m very sad for this lady, I didn’t know her, but good grief.”

Details about when the woman was stabbed were not immediately available. Investigators remained at the home early Wednesday.

“This is a very active community and we’re all in this together. I think people are going to be a lot more concerned about public safety going forward,” said Judith Harris, who works in the area.

No arrests were reported.
