The latest of the loan players linked with an Owls return is striker Ike Ugbo, whose goals have proved crucial in their bid for survival after a half-season stint with Cardiff City.

How likely is a deal?

It has been reported that Sheffield Wednesday could reach a cut-price deal if Ugbo’s parent club ESTAC Troyes were relegated.

Their relegation to France’s third tier has since been confirmed, but with two years left on his contract, he may not come cheap. The possibility of a cheaper deal could put other suitors on alert, so there could be a bit of a battle for his signature.

This might not be the easiest deal to make despite his success with the loan.

Karamoko Dembele

Sheffield Wednesday have been rumored to have contacted Stade Brestois over the possibility of a deal for Dembele, who returns to France after a loan spell with League One side Blackpool.

How likely is a deal?

Dembele would be an attractive signing on a permanent or loan basis. However, he is said to have a lot of interest, so even if Stade Brestois let him go, he could be headed elsewhere.

Another report from The Star said Goode’s name could be considered at Hillsborough as he prepares to become a free agent at the end of his Brentford contract.

How likely is a deal?

On a free transfer, Goode would be a smart signing. If Sheffield Wednesday were to pursue him, you have to feel it’s a doable deal, but it remains to be seen if their initial interest turns into something more serious.

How likely is a deal?

Middlesbrough, Hull City, Luton Town and a host of European clubs are said to be keen.

So if Wednesday’s interest is real, they’ll have a fight on their hands trying to get a deal done.
