Public consultation for Wednesbury masterplan

The council said the masterplan aims to ensure the city center “develops, grows and is prepared to meet the challenges of climate, economic and behavioral change in the future”.

The authority added that under the Leveling Up scheme, more than 600 homes are earmarked for Friar Park Urban Village, in addition to green space improvements at four sites and better CCTV.

A masterplan for West Bromwich town center was launched in 2022 and both strategies should be seen as complementary and part of the wider regeneration strategy for Sandwell, the council said.

Residents are asked to attend two events at Wednesbury Library on May 14 from 6pm BST and at Morrisons on June 1 from 10am to 12pm BST.
