Two charged with attempted murder after ‘shooting’ on quiet Birmingham road

Two men have been charged with attempted murder following an alleged shooting in Birmingham. It is understood a volley of bullets was fired at a property on Glendower Road, Perry Barr, on May 18.

Windows were damaged during the incident and an investigation has been launched. Two arrests were made and Shomari Mapp, 21, and Aairus Rehman, 18, were later charged with attempted murder, possession of firearms and ammunition with intent to endanger life and arson.



Rehman was due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today (June 6). Mapp appeared before magistrates on May 28 and was remanded before a further hearing on June 21 at Birmingham Crown Court.
