Coventry City secure exciting talent on new contract extension

Coventry City have secured the services of talented youngster Luke Bell, who has signed a new one-year contract extension.

The Sky Blues Academy product is described as a “gutsy” goalkeeper who trained regularly with the first team, coming through the youth ranks he joined at under-15s. He suffered a couple of contact injuries from diving at the feet of centre-forwards and braved other opponents, and development coach John Dempster says he is a “brilliant shot-stopper” who has “trained at a good level”. with the first team.




A club press release read: “We are delighted to announce that goalkeeper Luke Bell has agreed a new deal with Coventry City Football Club.

“Bell has agreed new terms which will see him stay with the Sky Blues until the summer of 2025.

“The goalkeeper enjoyed a successful year with the Under-21s, captaining the team on several occasions and becoming a mainstay between the sticks.

“Bell has also been a regular at Sky Blue Lodge, training with Brad Collins and Ben Wilson every week, as well as playing on the bench against Maidstone United, Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich Town.
