Birmingham Airport passengers left ‘disgraceful’ queues.

Tourists were furious at the “disgraceful” queues they encountered when trying to fly out of Birmingham Airport this morning, Thursday 6 June. They stood in a snaking line outside the building, stretching far past the front doors.

One described it as “carnage”, while another passenger said it was “disgraceful”, BirminghamLive reported. A reporter from our sister site was among those in the queues as she headed on holiday.

She said it took her an hour and 17 minutes from queuing in front of the front through upstairs security to departures. Tourist Alison Woolhouse said she was told to join the huge queue outside the airport after checking in her bags.

She described the scenes as “carnage”. Passenger Kevin Brown, traveling from the airport this morning, described the scenes as “absolutely disgraceful”. He shared a picture of the long queue outside the front doors of the airport saying ‘Arrive at 5.30am for a 7.45am departure and I came across this. Shy”.

But it started to move as the queue time to get through security got off at around 8am, according to passenger John O’Brien, who said at 7.55am this morning: ‘Here now and it’s not bad at all. Forty minutes to stand in line. from outside to reach security.

“The queue never stopped moving. Very helpful staff.”
