Nuneaton Road is closed live following the crash between Griff Island and Bedworth

A major road was closed in both directions after an accident. Traffic website Inrix reports that Nuneaton Road is closed.

The closure follows an accident between the A444 Bedworth Bypass at Griff Island and Orchard Street in Bedworth. Details of the accident are not yet known.




But the congestion is increasing because of the road closure. There are reports of “slow” traffic in the wider area.

The impact of the closure has hit some bus services. Stagecoach says the 148 services cannot serve Coventry Road in Bedworth.

Inrix initially reported that there were emergency repairs on the M6 ​​Northbound near Corley Services.

A passing ambulance alerted the police

Warwickshire Police said a passing ambulance saw the aftermath of the collision and contacted police.

It was around 3:30 p.m. It is understood there were no serious injuries.
