Nuneaton couple jailed for drug dealing

A NUNEATON couple who ran a drugs business from their home have been sentenced.

They were arrested in an intelligence operation led by the Nuneaton Serious and Organized Crime Squad.

In February 2021, the court issues a search warrant at the house on Russett Avenue, officers en route to the property saw a suspect, Anton Pearson, leaving the property.

They stopped the car and arrested him after seizing cocaine, cash and a list of names of people who owed money.

Detectives moved into the house to execute the Russett Avenue warrant, where they found Emma Morris. Also in the property they found lists of money owed, mobile phones, sealed plastic bags, scales and cash.

Analysis of the seized mobile phones found evidence of drug trafficking.



Pearson, 36, now of Victoria Road, Burbage appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Tuesday (June 4) where he was jailed for two years and nine months after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to to supply, being concerned with the supply of cocaine and the possession of cannabis.

Morris, 44, and now of Victoria Road, Burbage, was given a 23-month prison sentence suspended for two years after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possessing cannabis.

Detective Constable Stanton: “This is another good conviction for the Serious and Organized Crime Squad who are working hard to tackle drug trafficking in Warwickshire.

“People like Morris and Pearson think they can operate under the radar, but we work hard with our communities to gather information about drug supply; we will always act on it.”
