The mayor informs Dr. Michael Mosley and shares what the witnesses saw

According to the mayor of Symi, there would have been observations by Dr. Michael Mosley following his walk along the coast. Lefteris Papakalodoukas said the Greek island was “in turmoil” following the disappearance of the TV doctor, gave an update on the case.

A huge search operation was underway after the 67-year-old ITV This Morning star went missing on Wednesday afternoon. His wife, Dr Clare Bailey, 62, reportedly alerted the emergency services when he did not return home from the hike.




Helicopters, drones, dogs and a host of emergency personnel have searched the area where he was last seen, but so far there has been “no sign”. However, the mayor said witnesses claimed to have seen him talking to people in the Pedi residential area.

Giving an update to Live News, he said: “The whole island is in turmoil. Island volunteers and services are looking for him. The information we have says that he returned from Agios Nikolaos beach, he walked. the trail which is 10-15 minutes and reached Pedi which is a residential area.”

He said witnesses claimed Dr Mosley was seen talking to a woman after leaving the beach, the Mirror reports. However, other witnesses claimed to have seen him talking to a man in Pedi. He said all “testimonies” are being investigated.

The mayor added: “It’s not easy for a person to disappear in Symi, I think if something had happened, since last night when they searched and searched Pedi, we would have found some trace.”

Speaking to Proto Thema, the mayor added: “These are all testimonies that are being investigated at the moment.
