Manchester United star Marcus Rashford was caught speeding just months after being involved in an accident outside the club’s training ground.

The 26-year-old striker was traveling at over 120km/h on the M60 in Manchester and was clocked breaking the speed limit in his Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadow, according to the Sun. Rashford admitted his speeding offense at a single court hearing and the report suggests he will be sentenced at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on September 27.

Manchester United and Greater Manchester Police have declined to comment on the incident which is said to have taken place in December.

The United ace emerged unscathed after being involved in a low-speed crash outside his club’s Carrington training ground in September. After returning from an away win at Burnley, Rashord looked to drive home and was involved in a collision with a car driven by a member of the public.

In that incident, the £700,000 Black Badge Wraith left with extensive damage. Images showed parts of the vehicle from the rear bumper ripped off.

“Marcus is fine and uninjured,” a United spokesman said at the time. “It was an accidental collision when he left the training ground after returning from Burnley. There was one incident involving his car and one driven by a member of the public. Fortunately, both were uninjured and no ambulance was required.”

A Mirror source added: “Modern vehicles are incredibly robust and that helped protect Marcus. He got out of the car unassisted and his first thought was to make sure the female driver wasn’t hurt.

“Bruno (Fernandes) stopped because he saw his team-mate and obviously he was worried about him and the female driver. So he made sure they were both okay and could leave the place without any problems.”

Laughhorde has endured a difficult season with Manchester United suffering the worst in every Premier League final. The term ended with an FA Cup victory, but Erik ten Hag’s managerial position still appears to be under threat.

The England international, however, failed to make Gareth Southgate’s preliminary squad for EURO 2024. Rashford scored seven goals in 33 Premier League appearances in 2023/24.
