South West regional fund manager is expanding its team in Bristol

One of the UK’s largest regional fund managers has welcomed a new member to its team in Bristol.

Ben Donati joins FW Capital as Chief Investment Officer and will be based at the firm’s Broad Quay offices, led by fund manager David Goodall.

The team focuses on providing finance to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Bristol, Gloucestershire, North and North East Somerset and Wiltshire through British Business Bank’s £200m South West Investment Fund.

Ben is an experienced finance professional with over six years of experience working as an accountant. He trained at EY and also worked at Bishop Fleming and most recently at PKF-Francis Clark as a Senior Audit.

David Goodall, FW Capital Fund Manager said: “I am delighted that Ben has chosen to join FW Capital as we continue our exciting journey of providing financial support to local businesses. Ben’s accounting background is a tremendous asset to our team and his experience will benefit the many companies seeking funding from the South West Investment Fund.”

Ben Donati, Investment Director at FW Capital added: “I’ve always had a passion for finance and I’m looking forward to providing finance to growing SME businesses in the South West and making a real impact on the local economy. Many business owners don’t fully understand what financing is available and don’t know where to turn if they can’t get financing from traditional lenders. FW Capital is bridging the funding gap and I am delighted to be joining the team and helping more SMEs realize their ambitions by accessing the South West Investment Fund.”

The South West Investment Fund covers the entire South West region and offers loans from £25,000 to £2,000,000 and equity investments of up to £5,000,000 to help small and medium-sized businesses start up, expand or to stay ahead. Fund manager FW Capital provides debt finance using the South West Investment Fund to businesses in Bristol, Gloucestershire, North and North East Somerset and Wiltshire.
