Motorcyclist seriously injured in Birmingham van crash

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after a crash with a van in Birmingham near tower blocks. The incident happened on Thursday (June 6) on Selcroft Avenue in Harborne.

A motorcyclist crashed with a van shortly after 2pm, two ambulances being called to the scene. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a motorbike colliding with a van on Selcroft Avenue at 2.05pm, two ambulances attended the scene.




“I treated a patient, a man, who was a motorcyclist. He was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.”

West Midlands Police confirmed the motorcyclist broke his arm in the crash. The force is appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.

A spokesman for the force said: “We were called to a collision involving a motorbike and a van in Selcroft Avenue, Birmingham, just after 2pm. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm.
