Raise a glass to the Greenhead Beer Festival, which returns after eight years

A beer festival will take place near Huddersfield town center for three days this summer.

The Greenhead Beer Festival last took place eight years ago but returns over the weekend of Friday August 16 to Sunday August 18 at Greenhead Masonic Hall on Greenhead Road, Huddersfield.

It will raise money for the Masonic Charitable Foundation, which is one of the UK’s largest charities, donating to local and national charities.

The festival will feature more than 40 beers and ciders, including IPAs, stouts, lagers and a festival gin bar, along with food vendors.

Entertainment will include live bands, and Friday night will feature the blues band Bonnie Mac Band along with a pie and pea supper.

Saturday will feature Slaithwaite barber Tim Soradis performing in the afternoon and State Of Confusion in the evening, while Sunday will feature rockers Jagged Edge.

State of Confusion describe themselves as “a collaboration of twitching, button-pushing, thing-smacking Luddites from the hills of Lancashire and Yorkshire. We come around you, make noise and then leave.
