New Everton stadium: Home dressing room ‘totally different but very special’ as new images released

Everton have released images of the club crest which will be the centerpiece of the home dressing room at their new stadium under construction.

The crest was installed on the ceiling on Thursday morning in the large, circular dressing room at the heart of the west stand of Everton’s future 52,888-capacity home at Bramley-Moore Dock, which has been designed to maximize unity and team inclusion. It has a large central island and includes a range of technology to assist the management team and a significant increase in space for other functions such as the physiotherapist and team doctor.

There will also be an accompanying hydrotherapy pool to aid recovery, which will be a giant leap forward from the comfortable confines of the existing dressing room at Goodison Park. Former Everton captain Phil Jagielka, who played for Everton from 2007-2019, visited the area that will become the home dressing room in February and explained how he believes the upgrade to the facilities will help the Blues take them to the next level.

The 41-year-old said: “It’s amazing. I’ve seen a lot of footage but haven’t been able to get here yet and it’s going to be something special. Totally different, but very special.

“The pitch here looks a bit different to what we’re used to at Goodison so it’s fantastic and what they’re able to do here with the facilities is getting Everton where they need to be. The teams have grown now, not just on the field, but also the coaching staff.

“I hope you pick a neighbor who is for a while, but when you have a really nice walk-in closet and your own little space, there’s nothing nicer than walking in with your laundry bag and seeing your shirt closed.”
