Cornwall’s Punchard receives a two-week ban for the red card

Cornwall defender Morgan Punchard has been banned for two matches after being sent off in last Sunday’s defeat at Rochdale.

Punchard was sent off eight minutes before half-time for a tackle on Hornets’ Ben Killan in the 56-24 League One defeat.

The 25-year-old was also fined £40 by a Rugby Football League panel over the incident.

He will be able to play in Sunday’s trip to the Midlands Hurricanes but will miss the next games at home to Oldham and away to his former club Hunslet.
