Kirklees crackdown on bad driving sees almost 100 drivers caught

She said: “Operation Trimburg continues in our communities across North Kirklees and as we see it continues to deliver results week in week out.

“I want to thank the councilors of North Kirklees for their continued support of these extra patrols.

“They continue to be coordinated by our neighborhood policing teams and colleagues from the force’s Roads Policing Unit and rely on direct feedback from residents about crime and areas of concern.”

A suspected stolen car was impounded and the driver arrested, while seven cars were also impounded for other offences, the police added.
