Candidates for the 2024 Sutton Coldfield General Election

The UK General Election is just around the corner, with all 650 parliamentary constituencies across the country up for grabs. The parties are making their final statements to voters ahead of polling day on July 4, with immigration, the economy, the NHS and foreign policy all key aspects of this election cycle.

The result of the general election will determine which party forms the next government. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak hopes an improved economic picture will persuade voters to back the Tories, while Labor leader Keir Starmer said it was time for “change” after 14 years of Tory rule.

In Sutton Coldfield, six candidates stand for election to become local MP. An MP represents the interests and concerns of all the people living in their constituency in the Houses of Parliament.
