BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — Birmingham City Councilwoman LaTonya Tate delivered remarks emphasizing the importance of unified efforts to combat gun violence. Tate is joined by Uche Bean, Director of Community Safety Initiatives.

Community members are also encouraged to prioritize safety during the upcoming Wear Orange weekend, June 7-9. The color orange symbolizes unity and awareness. The weekend is dedicated to honoring survivors and advocating for an end to gun violence.
