Two teenagers die in car crash in Copiah County

A car accident involving three vehicles resulted in the death of two teenagers.

The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday in Copiah County, just north of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, WLBT reports.

Preliminary reports say Mykiol Agustin, 17, of Crystal Springs, crossed the center line of U.S. Highway 51 in his Chevrolet Sonic, sideswiping Dyshawn Brent in a Chevrolet Cruze. Agustin then collided head-on with Georian Myrick, 19, of Clinton, who was driving a Toyota Camry.

Agustin and Myrick died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol said neither was wearing a seat belt.

Brent, 19, was not injured.
