It’s one of Coventry’s most historic areas, so this week, out of nostalgia, we’re focusing on Burges. According to the Historic Coventry Trust, the name dates back to at least the 13th century and means ‘between the bridges’.

But we’re looking at the 20th century and we’ve found footage in our archives of Burges in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.

From shoppers to long-lost nightclubs, the images are sure to bring back plenty of memories.
