Manchester United are aware of Jarrad Branthwaite’s transfer request, Everton’s new timeline has revealed

Everton are preparing for a battle to keep hold of Jarrad Branthwaite following his exclusion from England’s European Championship squad and Manchester United’s interest in securing a move for the valuable player before the end of the month.

According to the Liverpool ECHO , Old Trafford directors anticipate completing a deal for the centre-back before June 30, with Everton holding out for a £75m fee.

The Football Association has banned clubs, agents and players from discussing transfers while selected players are on international duty this summer. If Branthwaite had been elected, that would have caused problems.

The 21-year-old is dealing with a minor groin problem that could require minor surgery. However, Gareth Southgate’s decision to omit him from his 26-man squad for the Euros in Germany after he made his international debut against Bosnia and Herzegovina last week clears the way for United to press ahead with the deal.

Everton have made it clear they will not be under pressure to sell Branthwaite at a discount, dismissing rumors of a “fire sale” at Goodison Park this summer as unfounded. Given the £80m fee United paid for Harry Maguire in 2019, the £75m Chelsea paid for Wesley Fofana in 2022 and the £77m paid of Manchester City for Josko Gvardiol, Everton believe their star of the season is in the same league, report. Liverpool Echo.

If a player in Sean Dyche’s squad is sold, it will only be because his rating has been met and the player wants to leave, according to club insiders. Branthwaite, who is under contract with Everton until 2027, is also believed to be of greater value due to the fact that he is English and left-handed.
