Gary Lineker has a brilliant new job as the Match of the Day host makes the announcement

Former Eveton ace Gary Lineker shared his pride in becoming a Patron of Cure Leukemia, the charity founded in 2003 by Professor Charlie Craddock CBE, alongside patients Graham Silk and Michael Woolley. The charity originally set out to provide access to breakthrough blood cancer treatments for patients in the West Midlands, but has since expanded its reach across the UK.

Cure Leukemia now not only offers a potentially life-saving treatment nationwide, but also supports the National Trial Acceleration Program (TAP), which includes a network of 15 hospital centers across the country serving more than 20 million patients with treatments that are not available through standard care, reports Football London. In a heartfelt video message shared by Cure Leukemia on social media, Lineker, who is deeply connected to the cause due to his son’s battle with leukemia as a child, expressed his regret at not being able to attend the Salesforce World Tour in London.

Former Toffee Lineker said: “Hi everyone at the Salesforce World Tour in London, sorry I can’t be with you today but thank you for choosing Cure Leukemia as your charity partner for such an amazing event.” He continued, detailing his personal connection to the charity and its significance: “I am incredibly proud to become Patron of Cure Leukemia alongside my former team-mate and leukemia survivor Geoff Thomas, who is with you today and there are two reasons for which.

“First of all, my son contracted leukemia when he was a young child, and to be perfectly honest, if it wasn’t for people raising money for research, he wouldn’t be with us today.” “This really motivated me to want to help myself. Second, Cure Leukemia is pioneering this fight against this horrible disease by funding the globally significant Study Acceleration Program (TAP). They have exciting plans to fund the equivalent program. for the children.”

“So wants your company to be a pioneer like Cure Leukemia and Salesforce, if the answer is yes, you will help save the lives of blood cancer patients around the world today. Have a fantastic day and thank you very much.”
