Woman’s ‘game-changing’ wheelie bin hack means you never have to make separate trips | Leicestershire Live

Whether it’s a topic you relish or dread each week, the nature of garbage day is a frequent conversation around the neighborhood. There is no denying the adverse consequences of neglecting bin day – forget to take your bin to the main road and you risk an unwanted waste build-up due to uncollected rubbish.

Despite this, garbage collection day can undoubtedly prove to be quite a nuisance. The task of remembering to take out your bins, followed by moving them back to the property boundary may not be too time-consuming, but it can certainly create annoyance – especially when multiple bins are involved, the Mirror reports.

However, one woman has revealed her ‘game-changing’ technique designed to simplify the process of escorting multiple bins into your home – and people are excited to try it. Mother-of-two Charli released this tip on TikTok in a video that has now captured the attention of over 630.9k viewers.

The 33-year-old can be heard in the video saying: “Hack for you all, put the bins so you don’t have to go back to do it separately.”

The strategy involves connecting two baskets together, allowing them to be easily turned in one quick move. Initially, the two bins are positioned next to each other with an open lid. The lid of the second container is then properly placed in the first, with the original container lid placed back on top.

Uniquely, as one basket is moved, the second follows suit – eliminating the need for multiple moves. It went down a storm with viewers on TikTok.

One said: “OMG. I’m definitely trying that now.” A second said: “So I’m doing that in a minute,” while a third added: “Okay, I’m coming this Thursday. It makes my life easier.”
