Dr Michael Mosley’s wife issues statement and message of ‘hope’.

The wife of missing TV doctor Michael Mosley has issued a statement vowing not to give up hope he will be found.

The search for the broadcaster enters its fourth day on the Greek island of Symi. The island’s mayor vowed to continue the search, and the 67-year-old’s wife, Dr. Clare Bailey Mosley, helped along with friends and family.




In a statement, Dr Bailey Mosley said: ‘It has been three days since Michael left the beach to go for a walk. The longest and most unbearable days for me and my children. The search is ongoing and our family is so incredibly grateful. the people of Symi, the Greek authorities and the British Consulate who are working tirelessly to help him find Michael.

“We will not lose hope.”

Mr Mosley was seen on CCTV near a gray stone house near a harbor on the island. A second piece of CCTV footage from a nearby location showing a man wearing the same clothes and carrying the same umbrella at 1.50pm has now been seen by the BBC.

Symi Mayor Eleftherios Papakaloudoukas said there was “no chance” that the search for missing Dr Mosley would be called off until he was found. He said Dr Mosley’s four children have now arrived on the island and are set to join the search for the missing TV doctor.

In their efforts to locate Dr Mosley, firefighters deployed a drone as they navigated the intense heat in a mountainous region. The top of the hill, which lies between Pedi Bay and Agia Marina, and is suspected to be part of Dr. Mosley’s route, affords neither path nor shade.
