Brent Faiyaz, Atu and Dpat share sultry new single as Sonder

Last month, Baltimore singer Brent Faiyaz delivered an impressive and soulful new project titled AM Paradox. Opening track “Lovely” featured production from Sonder – the same name that can be seen written across Faiyaz’s face on the project’s painted cover.

Since late summer, Sonder has been releasing music on his Soundcloud page without much detail. Between August and September, the trio—consisting of producers Atu and Dpat, with Faiyaz on vocals—shared a three-part series of sultry, downtempo releases that lasted between ten and twelve minutes.

This week, the newly formed trio share a brand new single titled “Too Fast”, a fitting introduction to who they are. In a press release, the trio who met online explain the meaning of the name Sonder. “By definition, Sonder is the awareness that every bystander lives a life as vivid and complex as your own, and with that, our unique experiences flow into one another,” it says. “This is exactly what to expect from Sonder’s upcoming appearance In the EP.”

Sonder’s sultry new single “Too Fast” remains in the same seductive vein as the releases they shared this summer. The trio found their way and proved that they have great chemistry together. Their next EP will definitely be one to look out for.
