Claire Sweeney sent a heartfelt tribute after Ricky Hatton celebrated a remarkable achievement.

The Coronation Street star is enjoying a blossoming romance with the boxing legend as they have been spotted on a number of dates. The 53-year-old swooned with pride after the former welterweight champion flew to America to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The Hitman shared a photo on Instagram after announcing that his name has been put on the wall alongside some of the greatest in the history of the sport. He said: “I’m on the wall 2 meters from Roberto @robertoduranbox”

Claire was delighted after the update as the Walton star said: ‘So proud. It is amazing”.

The legendary fighter completed the International Boxing Hall of Fame today to raise funds for the local community. Claire regularly shares updates from her life on Instagram and took to social media to reveal that she was struggling to stay motivated with her own fitness journey.

She said: “I find it really hard to motivate myself to exercise these days. But I feel so much better when I do. I have to get into a routine, which is sometimes hard when work, life, laziness and hormones get in the way! “

Hatton sent a message of support saying: “Go girl. xxx”
