Public park near Coventry where you can go to Warwick Castle by boat

This popular and much-loved public park is not far from Coventry and has plenty to keep families busy for a day this summer, including adventure mini-golf, swimming and boating. St Nicholas Park is a 40 acre park and also has an adventure play area and cafe.

This gem is in Warwickshire and has a large grassy area for ball games, picnics or kite flying. There are also formal flower beds and you can enjoy a relaxing walk along the river which offers stunning views of Warwick Castle.




The amusement park includes a wide range of rides and games, from water shooters to the classic teacup ride for children up to 12 years old. There are also coin operated games and the Candy Cabin serves fresh cotton candy, candy and ice cream.

Amusement Park rides include Mini Miami, Flying Fish, Runaway Mine Train, Jungle Blaster, Orbital Cars, Mini Observation Wheel, Hill Billy Train Ride, Adventure Canoe Ride and more. For younger children, the Funland Express is ideal.

Opposite the Amusement Park is the 18-hole Adventure Minigolf. Watch out for water hazards and “bumpy” rocks as you navigate the course, making it a challenge for kids and adults alike. Prices range from £7, with adults at £7.50, children under 16 £7, a family group at £25 and a group of £4 at £27.

There is also an outdoor pool for children up to 12 years old. The pool is shallow, safe and perfect for kids looking to cool off this summer, so don’t forget to bring your bathing suits when you visit the park. There is also a side seating area for adults to sit back and relax while the kids have the time of their lives.

The play area has activities aimed at younger children as well as older and more adventurous children. Located next to the open grassy areas of the park, with climbing frames, swings and slides, there is plenty of space for play both on and off the playground.
