Cornwall’s Conservative MP candidate’s election posters have been vandalized and damaged

A Tory candidate in Cornwall has spoken out after vandals defaced his election posters. Scott Mann, who is seeking re-election in North Cornwall, said he would report anyone caught defacing his posters.

A poster was vandalized on private land along the A39 near the Royal Cornwall Showground. Other posters were stolen and damaged in Washaway and Padstow.

Scott Mann said: “Volunteers from all parties work really hard during an election and it’s not nice when they have to go and collect or repair signs and posters that have been destroyed and damaged.

“We live in a democracy and it is important to respect different political opinions. I have wildlife cameras on some of my poster sites and will report anyone who can be identified.

“It’s a shame I have to say this, but please don’t hack my or other candidates’ entries. Thanks.”
