Crime scene and road closures after Bristol knife attack – in pictures

A crime scene is in place and roads are closed following a knife attack in Bristol. Avon & Somerset Police said the attack happened near Rawnsley Park at around 4.40am this morning (Sunday June 9).

A total of nine people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in police custody. Meanwhile, two men in their 20s have been taken to hospital with stab wounds, one of whom is in a serious condition.

Pictures from the scene show forensic officers in attendance as they search Rawnsley Park. Easton Way is closed between the junction with Stapleton Road and Pennywell Road and there is also no access to Easton Way from the Old Market.

Avon and Somerset Police are urging anyone with information about the attack to get in touch immediately. They said: “If you were in the Stapleton Road / Rawnsley Park area between 4.15am and 5am this morning and witnessed anything suspicious or have any video footage that could assist our enquiries, please call us. “
