Michael Mosley’s last words about wife Clare days before her tragic death

Doctor Michael Mosley tragically lost his life while on a coastal walk on a Greek island holiday. His last tweet was an emotional tribute to his beloved wife.

The 67-year-old was reported missing by his wife, Clare, on Wednesday, June 5, when he did not return from a trip. His body was discovered five days later on Sunday, June 9, in a rocky area following an extensive search operation by emergency workers.




Located about 30 minutes’ walk from the Pedi village where Mosley was last seen, his body was found with an umbrella nearby. Just two weeks before his untimely death on the Greek island of Symi, the TV doctor shared a sweet message about his marriage on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, reports OK!.

On May 25, one of Michael’s followers asked him if he had seen himself parodied on the impression show, Dead Ringers, stating, “I would consider it an honor.” Michael replied: “I have… I’m not convinced it sounds like that, but my wife Clare says it’s perfect.”

Michael and his wife Clare, a former GP living in Buckinghamshire, recently completed their national tour, entitled Eat (Better), Sleep (well), Live (more). They attended the Hay Festival with other writers and experts before embarking on their Greek adventure.

The couple, who have shared a strong bond for 44 years, first met as young medical students at the Royal Free Hospital Medical School, now part of the prestigious University College London (UCL). Michael and Clare were blessed with four children, three boys aged 33, 31 and 29 and a 24-year-old daughter.

After Michael’s death, Clare released a statement saying: “I don’t know where to start with this. It is devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband. We had an incredibly lucky life together. We loved each other. each other very much and we were so happy together.”
