Armed police respond to Keynsham knife attack

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: “A man has been taken to hospital with injuries to his hands which are not believed to be life-threatening.

“Armed officers have been deployed, along with response units, to the incident and a cordon remains in place while inquiries continue.

“We understand there is great concern in our communities about knife crime and residents can expect to see an increased police presence following this incident.

“We remain committed to reducing knife crime and serious violence and encourage anyone with questions or concerns to speak to them.”
