Coventry man charged after assaulting taxi driver

A COVENTRY man has been charged with assaulting a taxi driver in the city.

Artur Nowostawski, 40, was charged with wounding, attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon after an attack on the driver on April 29.

He is due to appear before Coventry Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday).

Nowostawski is accused of violently assaulting a taxi driver and has been remanded in custody since his May 6 arrest.
