Boy needs stitches after Lockleaze incident ‘involving blade’

Police are appealing for witnesses after a young man was assaulted by a group of youths, one of whom was carrying a gun.

The incident happened in Gainsborough Square in Lockleaze, Bristol, at around 4pm BST on Saturday.

Avon and Somerset Police said officers were called following reports of an altercation involving a group of youths, one of whom was carrying a “bladed item”.

The force said a teenager was taken to hospital to have stitches to a wound on his arm.

The main suspect was described as black, of thin build and in his teens.

He was wearing a gray hoodie with the hood up, black pants, and black sneakers.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has footage that could assist their investigation.
