The university will be a boon to Cornwall

I don’t understand letter from Dave Edwards, Cornwall (Seaway News, May 29; “University won’t solve labor shortage”).

Firstly, does he know that a former Cornwall councilor, Korey Kennedy, has tabled a motion to build a university here in Cornwall?

But all the other counselors laughed.

A university will solve the labor shortage here in Cornwall as he states that Cornwall needs tradesmen, plumbers, carpenters, welders, electricians, HVAC technicians, etc, etc.

Hey, as soon as the city of Cornwall announces that a university is going to be built here in Cornwall, house builders in and outside of Cornwall will go out to tender to build housing to accommodate university students.
