Wafer-free Chunky KitKat sparks debate on Reddit: Is there another KitKat? | Leicestershire Live

A woman recently shared her surprising discovery of a wafer-free Chunky KitKat, which she described as a “lottery” win. However, it caused quite a difference online.

In a post on Reddit’s r/CasualUK, the woman shared all about her rare KitKats. She said: “My husband says I won the KitKat lottery. I just had a Chunky KitKat and didn’t get a wafer! I was a bit disappointed but my husband says he’s very jealous and I won the KitKat lottery.”

According to the Manchester Evening News, the woman’s unusual discovery has sparked debate among the online community, with many claiming that the essence of a KitKat lies in its wafer centre. One said: “Why would you be happy if a KitKat doesn’t have a wafer? That’s not the point.”

Others suggested that the chocolate accident made the woman’s bar closer to a Yorkie bar. She answered the questions in a later post.

She said: “I took a bite and thought it was just the solid chocolate at the end. I soon realized it wasn’t!”

The rarity of the chocolate prompted many to call the woman to speak with KitKat makers Nestle. One said: “You can report this to Nestle and they’ll send you a voucher (I’ve done this before).”

Another recounted a story from their childhood when their sister found a KitKat without a wafer and was handsomely rewarded after contacting the company. They said: “My sister had this when she was a child. I wrote a letter to KitKat and they sent an apology gift pack with lots for us.”
