Birmingham Erdington 2024 General Election Candidates

The full list of candidates to become Birmingham Erdington’s next MP has been revealed. In all, seven candidates will be on the ballot when the general election is held on July 4.

The polls have put Labor on course for a resounding victory, but Rishi Sunak will be hoping that an improved economic picture and his landmark Rwanda policy will be enough to convince voters to put him back in 10 Downing Street. Labor’s Keir Starmer has called for “change” after 14 years of Conservative government.

In Erdington, this is the first general election since the death of Jack Dromey, who represented the constituency in 2010. Erdington has long been considered a safe Labor seat, which has been held by the party since the Second Ward, but there were only 3,000 votes between Labor and the Tories in the last two votes.
