Inside the wedding party of the Duke and Duchess of Westminster in Cheshire as the couple share photos from home at Eaton Hall

The Duke and Duchess of Westminster have thanked everyone who made their wedding day “so memorable” as they shared new pictures from inside their private wedding party held in the grounds of their sprawling Cheshire estate.

The newlyweds tied the knot at Chester Cathedral on Friday, with thousands of well-wishers lining the streets of Chester to cheer them on. Guests included aristocrats and members of the royal family, with the Prince of Wales among the ushers.

The huge crowd in Chester led three cheers as billionaire landlord Hugh Grosvenor, 33, and his new bride Olivia Henson, 31, kissed outside the Cathedral doors.

They were then whisked off in a vintage Bentley to continue their wedding party with 400 guests at the Duke’s estate, Eaton Hall, in the nearby Cheshire village of Eccleston.

The couple have now released the first official photos from the day, including inside Eaton Hall, where guests gathered along a long walkway to throw confetti and welcome the new Duke and Duchess home.

The photos show the couple beaming with joy on their wedding day, taken by photographer Benjamin Wheeler at the Eaton Estate after the service.

Around 400 guests, including Princess Eugenie and TV producer Phil Redmond, left the venue in coaches for the reception. There, guests were treated to a champagne reception, while the wedding cake was said to be lemon flavored.

In a short statement, the couple said: “We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported us and would like to say a special thank you to those in Chester who helped make our day so memorable.

“We have been incredibly overwhelmed by everyone’s amazing support and warm wishes.”

People in Chester were given free ice creams to mark the occasion after the couple teamed up with three independent businesses to provide the treats. It sparked huge queues in the city center once the wedding itself ended on Friday afternoon.
