Marks and Spencer’s £50 ‘stylish’ leather sandals are ‘comfortable from the first wear’

Marks and Spencer shoppers are heaping praise on a pair of sandals that are “comfortable from the first wear”. With the arrival of warmer weather, many shoppers will be adding summer staples to their wardrobe – and M&S shoppers think they’ve found the perfect addition.

The retailer’s Wide Fit Leather Strappy Sandals, which are available in black or brown, are priced at £49.50. Leather fisherman sandals fit with a comfortable flat sole and buckle closure.

Marks and Spencer also stocks the M&S X Sienna Miller Leather Thong Flat Sandals for £49.50 and Leather Buckle Ankle Strap Flat Sandals for £45. The retailer also has sporty leather ankle strap sandals priced at £45.

The Wide Fit Leather Strappy Sandals have a 4.7 star rating online with a number of rave reviews. Among them, one person said: “Very comfortable, very happy with the quality and looks great with lots of different outfits.”

A second wrote: “These sandals are so comfortable, they are light but also sturdy and so good for the skin.” A third buyer added: “I’ve been looking for some comfortable sandals for a while and these fit the bill perfectly. Good quality and comfortable from the first wear. I wear a size 6 or 6.5 depending on the shoe and the 6 wide fit is perfect. Happy. client.”

Another said: “Fantastically stylish and comfortable sandals. I have wide feet but even so I went half a size up. They were well liked and a good price.”

However, some buyers were disappointed by the size. One person said: “I’m always a size 5. All over. Even wide fit. These sandals came out massive and have unfortunately been returned.”

Another added: “I ordered these sandals online and haven’t seen them in store. I usually get a wide fit, but these did not fit my foot shape. Also, the color was not to my liking, it was quite pale. The leather is very soft and they seem well made, but I’m back for a refund.”

New Look also have the Black Whipstitch Chunky Sliders on sale for £26.99, down from £29.99. Among the reviews, one buyer said: “Love these! Very comfortable and looks fabulous with everything.”

A second wrote: “These are beautiful shoes, I will wear them so much this summer! They are very comfortable to wear too. I had to loosen the buckle near the toes as it was a little tight but it wasn’t no problem.”

However, another added: “Really disappointed. Looks quite plastic. Also the holes quite narrow and not enough to allow them to be wider. This style is usually perfect but not this time.”
