A popular cake shop has closed at Meadowhall.

Project D has closed its branch in Sheffield shopping centre. They also closed their York branch which was based on Parliament Street.

Project D was known for their wide range of donuts. “I am pleased to report that this restructuring has been successful and does not affect our core operations, which is the manufacture of premium handmade doughnuts. Our recent opening of a retail store at Heathrow Terminal Two has been successful and our online sales are up 50% compared to this time last year.”

Speaking about York’s closure, Max Poynton said: “York seems to be a seasonal place with fluctuating foot traffic and sales. While we’ve had fantastic weeks, we’ve also experienced periods of slow business, which has made it difficult to sustain operations consistently.”
