Manchester United season ticket holders are unhappy as ‘unacceptable’ changes are being made.

Manchester United season ticket holders have expressed their frustration at changes to the way they enter Old Trafford on match days, which will start from the 2024/25 campaign.

United took the decision to digitize their ticketing system in 2021/22, which meant fans were asked to download their season tickets onto their mobile phones.

Supporters could enter Old Trafford by scanning QR codes on their phones and season tickets could be downloaded to Apple/Google wallets for convenience.

However, a communication was sent to season ticket holders last week outlining that there will be changes for next season. Fans will now gain access using a live QR code in the club’s app, which is updated regularly, and membership will be limited to one device.

The changes prevent season ticket holders from passing their ticket on to a family member or friend free of charge if they cannot attend the match themselves. A United member is required to accept a transferable membership which costs a minimum of £20 per season.

Many United season ticket holders expressed their anger at the changes on social media, with some writing emails and letters to the club to criticize the new rules.
