Tribute left outside Leeds Rhinos home

Drone footage shot at Headingley Stadium shows the extent of tributes left to Rob Burrow since the rugby league legend’s death.

The former Leeds Rhinos player, who had been living with motor neurone disease (MND) since being diagnosed in late 2019, died on June 2 aged 41.

Burrow played for the Rhinos throughout his career and won eight Super League Grand Finals, three World Club Challenges and two Challenge Cups.

After his diagnosis, he raised over £15m for MND charities alongside his close friend Kevin Sinfield.

Rugby jerseys and other memorabilia were left outside the stadium will form a permanent tribute to him.

The club said it would make a decision with Burrow’s family exactly how to use the shirts and other items.

All tributes will be photographed and put into a book, copies of which will go to the family, the party added.
