Train lovers take over Wiltshire pub for annual steam and vintage rally

Broadtown Brewery saw hundreds of people flood through the doors of its pub for the 2024 Wiltshire Steam and Vintage Rally 2024.

The event, which ran from Saturday 8 June to Sunday 9 June, saw vintage vehicles, craft stalls and food vendors take to Broadtown Brewery’s Hop Gardens, which opened for the first time this year .

It marked the 50th anniversary of the Wiltshire Agricultural Conservation Group and the first time the rally had ever been hosted in Broad Town.

The first day of the weekend event saw between 600-700 exhibitors display their trains, cars, tractors and vans, while staff at the Hop Chapel served up a range of Broadtown Brewery and Lilley’s Cider.

Speaking to Adver ahead of the event, pub owner Jason Bayliffe said: “It’s been a huge amount of work preparing for this event and we’ve just been trying to make the garden look beautiful and wonderful.

“This will be the first weekend we open the Hop Gardens to host the Wiltshire Steam Rally, so this is a big boost for everyone to come down for the rest of the summer.”
