4th July 2024: Fireworks, events in and near Enfield

ENFIELD, CT — Independence Day is fast approaching, so it’s time to find out where you can celebrate in and near Enfield, which is hosting its own three-day extravaganza.

To help you fit it all into your July 4th calendar, Patch has put together a sampling of what’s happening in central and north-central Connecticut:

June

15 – Hartford Yard Goats Postgame Fireworks

24 – Hebron Lions (Rain date Sunday, June 30, 2024): Show gates open at 4 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. Free on-site parking and free admission; VIP and priority exit parking is available. A touch-a-truck and food vendors will also be featured.

26 – Stafford SummerFest & Fireworks, 5-10pm Live music by the Loveland Hill Band, food trucks a showcase of civic groups, lawn games and art activities and fireworks sponsored by Stafford Savings Bank. Admission and parking are free and all activities will be held at Stafford High School, 145 Orcuttville Road. The rain date is June 27.

29 – Middletown Fireworks Festival 2024, June 29, 2024 with a June 30 rain date. 5:00 p.m.: Festival kicks off at DeKoven Drive; 5:00pm – 9:30pm: Live music, food trucks and more at DeKoven Drive and Harbor Park; 21:30: Fireworks.

July

3 – Fireworks after the game, New Britain Bees.

4-6 – Lake Compounce annual fireworks.

4 – New Britain’s “Great American Boom” fireworks.

5 – Fireworks with the Hartford Yard Goats.

5 – Talcott Mountain Music Festival: (rain date July 6), The Hartford Symphony Orchestra presents its annual “Celebrate America” ​​concert, led by esteemed Hartford Symphony Orchestra music director Carolyn Kuan. The patriotic extravaganza, accompanied by a fireworks display, will feature a guest artist to be announced.

6- Manchester Fireworks/Dutch Fogarty Independence Day: The event will be held on the grounds of CT State Community College Manchester (Manchester Community College). Entry and parking to the event is free, although those who can donate to help defray the costs will be given an opportunity to enter the car park. The James “Dutch” Fogarty 4th of July Committee celebrates 39 years of legendary live music, kids’ zone activities, market offerings, food, family, friends and fireworks-filled fun. This annual event starts at 4pm and lasts until the last rocket lights up the sky at 9.55pm.

5-7 – Enfield Fourth of July Celebration: A three-day free Fourth of July celebration, including music, parade, races, demonstrations, children’s rides and games.

July 9 in the Sky, Vernon: Downtown Rockville and Henry Park will feature viewing areas with games, music and booths featuring city organizations. There will be a fee to enter the park. The rain date is Wednesday, July 10. Activities start at 6pm at both locations and the fireworks start after 9.15pm when the sky is dark enough.
